July 10, 2016, Euro 2016 final at Stade de France, Portugal 1–0 France (after extra time). Ronaldo left the pitch on the 25th minute after a knee strike from Dimitri Payet. From the bench, he spent the rest of the match giving instructions to coach Santos. On the 109th minute, Éder scored the only goal — Portugal's first-ever European Championship title. Ronaldo hopped around the field on crutches, celebrating.
